זה אולי יפתיע אתכם לגלות שבמשך השנתיים בהם אני עורך, כותב כתבות ומסקר חומרה באתר, מעולם לא יצא לי לסקר לוח אם. העובדה הזו הפתיעה גם את עצמי, בעיקר כי לוח אם היום הוא חלק לא פחות חשוב ומשמעותי משאר חלקי המחשב, היות והוא למעשה מאגד את כל החלקים שנבחר יחדיו על מנת שיוכלו לספק לנו את חווית השימוש הטובה ביותר בהתאם לצרכים שלנו. הסיבה שהחלטתי לסקר את ה-B550M-Plus WiFi היא שהגיע לידיי הכונן WD_Black SN850, כונן מרשים ומהיר במיוחד התומך בטכנולוגיית PCIe Gen4, טכנולוגיה שמאפשרת לכונן הקטן הזה לספק מהירויות עבודה מרשימות עד 7000MB/s. הבעיה הייתה שלא היה לי לוח אם זמין שתומך בטכנולוגיה הזו, ולכן מיד פניתי לחברינו הטובים באסוס ישראל שהסכימו מיד לשלוח לי לוח אם לסקירה שיאפשר לי לבחון את הכונן כמו שצריך, וכמובן שלצד הסקירה של הכונן שתוכלו למצוא ממש כאן, הנה גם סקירה על לוח האם.
אז ה-B550M-Plus WiFi הוא לוח mATX המשתייך לסדרת TUF Gaming של אסוס. מדובר ב"סדרת הביניים" של החברה, ואני בכוונה כותב עם מרכאות היות וכבר יצא לי להתנסות עם מוצרי הסדרה בעבר כגון כרטיס המסך RTX 3060Ti (סיקור כאן), וכבר אז אמרתי שמדובר בסדרה שמזמן לא מתפשרת על דברים גדולים, והיא מסוגלת לספק תוצאות ואיכות מוצרים לא פחות טובה מהמוצרי הדגל של אסוס בסדרות Strix או תחת מותג ROG.
לפני שנדבר על היכולות הטכניות של הלוח, אציין כי כיאה לסדרת TUF Gaming, גם כאן נקבל עיצוב כהה בעל גוונים צבאיים ונגיעות של צבע צהוב וכתום לצד לוגו החברה שמוצג לראווה על גבי כיסוי ערכת השבבים של הלוח, עיצוב שכבר הוכיח לי בעבר מספר פעמים שהוא מסוגל להיות מאוד יפה ומאוד מרשים. הלוח אמנם לא מפוצץ ב-RGB או משהו כזה (כן יש קצת אורות בקצה הימיני התחתון של הלוח), אבל הוא בהחלט נראה מרשים ומשדר תחושה טובה של איכות מוצר גבוהה.
מלבד ללוח עצמו נוכל בקופסא מספר אביזרים נוספים, כגון פד תרמי חליפי לכיסוי כונני ה-M.2 וברגים שיסייעו לנו בחיבור הכוננים ללוח, אנטנת Wi-Fi, כיסוי I/O אחורי בעיצוב TUF, שני כבלי SATA שחורים, כמה מדבקות לא רעות בכלל, דיסק להתקנת דרייברים (משום מה דיסקים זה עדיין דבר), עלון מידע חביב שמסביר לנו על חזון סדרת TUF וכמובן חוברת ההוראות.
כמות האביזרים בהחלט התקבלה בעיניי בחיוב, אסוס כללה בדיוק את מה שצריך ולא מעבר, ובהתחשב במחיר הלוח ובנגישות שלו לצרכנים, לא ציפיתי ליותר ממה שקיבלתי בקופסא כך שלא התאכזבתי בכלל.
אז העיצוב ואבזירים התחילו את הרושם הראשוני שלי מהלוח טוב, אבל הגיע הזמן לצלול לקרביים של לוח האם כדי לראות מה אסוס כללה לנו כאן.
הלוח עצמו כמובן מגיע עם ערכת השבבים B550 ועם תאימות להדור השלישי, הרביעי (סדרת 4000G) והחמישי של מעבדי Ryzen, כך שאם תקנו את הלוח הזה היום, הוא יתאים גם אם אתם עושים שימוש במעבד מדורות קודמים. מבחינת חלוקת המתחים, הלוח שלנו מגיע עם מערך מתחים (VRM) בעל 10 שלבי כוח (Power Stages) המגיעים בתצורת 8+2. באופן אישי אני חושב שזה די והותר ללוח ברמה הזו, היות וכמות שלבי הכוח הזו מספיקה בהחלט על מנת לספק מתח ויכולות המהרה טובות למעבדי הקצה של הסדרות השונות ואפילו למעבדי האקסטרים ברמת Ryzen 9, נקודה ראשונה ללוח שמוכיחה שלא צריך להוציא הרבה כסף על מנת להנות מיכולות המהרה טובות. את מערך המתחים מכסות כמה צלעות קירור איכותיות שידאגו שביצועי הלוח יישארו תקינים וקרירים ככל שניתן גם תחת עבודה מאומצת.

כפי שניתן לראות, הלוח כולל די והותר חיבורים אחוריים וקדמיים, ואפילו שמדובר בלוח שאינו לוח קצה, 7 חיבורי USB ואפילו חיבור USB-C זה בהחלט מתקבל, וזה משהו שממש כיף לראות בלוח בתג המחיר הזה. מעבר לכך אהבתי מאוד שיש תמיכה ב-WiFi באופן כללי ואת העובדה שהוא מגיע באיכות גבוהה ברמת WiFi 6 בתקן AX, כך שלא מדובר בחיבור אלחוטי זול שלא יעשה את העבודה (חשוב לציין שתמיכה ב-WiFi זה לא משהו שרואים בכל לוח היום, גם בלוחות קצה, כך שזה בהחלט מרשים שזה נמצא בלוח כמו זה).
מעבר לכך כמובן שעל גבי הלוח יש מגוון רחב של חיבורים נוספים כגון שני חיבורי PCIe 4 x16 לחיבור כרטיס המסך וכרטיסי הרחבה נוספים, זוג חיבורי M.2 כאשר החיבור העליון תומך ב-PCIe Gen4 ו-SATA והתחתון ב-PCIe Gen3 ו-SATA, שני מחברי RGB ומחבר ARGB, שני מחברים למאווררי מארז וזוג מחברים למאוור מעבד או משאבה ועוד.
בסופו של דבר, כמות החיבורים כאן מאוד מרשימה ללוח בגודל mATX המשתייך לסדרת ביניים, ומדובר בכמות מרשימה בהחלט של חיבורים שיאפשרו לכם אפשרויות עבודה מרובות.
באשר לחלק התוכנתי, ה-BIOS של הלוח מאוד סטנדרטי ומוכר למי מכם שהתנסה עם לוחות אם של אסוס בעבר. הוא מאוד נוח לשימוש ומסודר בצורה קלה להבנה (לאלה שממש מתקשים להבין מה הסיפור יש מצב EZ Mode שהופך את הכל לאפילו יותר פשוט). לא נתקלתי בבעיה כלשהי בניהול ההגדרות השונות של הלוח, החל מהגדרות הבסיס ועל להגדרת Fan Curve או התעסקות ביכולות ההמרה של הלוח.
