העונה השנייה של "מסע בין כוכבים: דיסקברי" מבית CBS בדרך אלינו עם פוסטר וטריילר חדש המציג לנו את ספוק האגדי.
טריילר חדש של העונה השנייה לסדרה "דיסקברי" בכותר "מסע בין כוכבים" (Star Trek) שוחרר לאוויר ע"י רשת CBS ומציע למעריצים שפע של אקשן, יחד עם תפקידים גדולים לקפטן פייק וספוק הצעיר.
העונה הראשונה עוררה מחלוקת עקב שינויים פוטנציאליים לעלילה המקורית של הכותר הותיק והטון של הסדרה בפרט; זה לא נדיר לקבל תגובות חצויות כשחומר חדש מגיע מסדרה קלאסית כמו" מסע בין כוכבים", וכך שהסדרה הגיעה למחוזות בהם מעולם לא הגיעה בעבר (עם קללות פה ושם) וניסיונות נחרצים לשינויים, היינו עדים לויזואליות המרהיבה שנשמרה לאורך השנים ונדמה שהטון נשמר גם בעונה השנייה.
מאמץ רב מאוד להגיע לליבם של מעריצי הכותר הותיק הוא ליהוק השחקן אית'ן פק לתפקיד ספוק ואנסון מאונט לתפקיד קפטן כריסטופר פייק. להוסיף שתי דמויות מפתח לעונה חדשה בסדרת Star Trek זהו הימור בפני עצמו, ועוד לסדרת פריקוול המקדימה את אירועי הסרטים.
הימור מסוכן אמנם, אך יכול להיות שישתלם. וממה שנראה בטריילר – קפטן פייק וספוק הולכים לשתף פעולה ולהשפיע על הכותר בכללותו. אף עפ"י שהדגש הוא על הצמד קפטן פייק וספוק, הטריילר אינו שוכח גם להראות לנו דמויות חשובות נוספות בסדרה – מייקל בורנהם (בגילום סונקוואה מרטין-גרין) ואירועי הסדרה הראשונה שהביאו לתודעתנו את ג'יאורגיו (מישל יהאו) ואת מחליף הקפטן סארו (דאג ג'ונס).

נדמה שהעונה השנייה של "מסע בין כוכבים: דיסקברי" השתנתה במספר מובנים, לפחות במובן טון הסדרה, אמנם הטריילר אינו יכול להראות לנו שינויים משמעותיים בעונה הזו, בניסיון לשמר את האיזון בין הרגעים הדרמטיים לאי היציבות. יתרה מכך, הסדרה בהחלט יודעת להשתמש בשחקנים כמו אנסון מאונט, עם כריזמה עצומה ומראה של אליל נוער המתלבש היטב עם הופעה יציבה ופרצוף מאופק, כמו במקרה של הסדרה "בלתי אנושיים" (Inhumans).
במקרה של ספוק הצעיר, נלקחו בחשבון התגובות הדיקטטוריות של המעריצים בקשר לגילום הדמות האייקונית אך אולי הם עוד יופתעו לטובה. הפרט המעניין ביותר בטריילר, ככל הנראה, הוא העלילה הסובבת את הדמות המסתורית "The Red Angel". אין עדיין פרטים על הדמות הזו, אך אין ספק שהסדרה הולכת לספק למעריציה הרפתקת חלל מטלטלת ומדהימה.
